I am currently a junior doctor working at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. I completed my training at the University of Nottingham medical school. Prior to that, I achieved 11 A*s at GCSE and 4 As at A Level (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths). In my time at school, and after leaving, I have been able to teach my peers and younger students about the key aspects of sitting each exam. I am extremely keen about passing on this experience to more students. My main focuses are Mathematics (GCSE & A Level) and Biology (GCSE & A Level). My aim is to work alongside students (online teaching - zoom/microsoft teams and face-face teaching) in order to better understand their natural ways of thinking. I plan to adapt my teaching style around this to ultimately help every student achieve the highest grade possible.
I have had experience in tutoring since school, where I started with volunteering sessions to younger years. I started tutoring professionally during my time at university and have expanded the range of subjects that I offer, from GCSEs and A Level to now medical (all years including postgraduate MSRA exam) tuition.
My main approach is practice. I believe the best way to learn is by practicing questions. I understand that different students have different processes to their exam revision. However, my goal is start their learning with questions so that they can spend maximum time getting familiarized with exam questions. For more complex topics, I do run teaching sessions, which will mostly involve problem solving and interactive (Q&A) style teaching methods.
