Currently I am PhD student in Electronic Engineering at Queen Mary University. I am part of the prestigious Network group and doing my research under highly skilled and well reputed Professor. I have managed to publish my research on telecommunications in well reputed journals. Three Year back in September, I graduated from Queen Mary University of London with an MSc in Telecommunication and wireless Systems. I earned a distinction in that course and was awarded a studentship to pursue my research in Network group.
Previously, I have completed my undergraduate studies from Queen Mary University in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a First Class honours. Along with that I worked as science tutor at one of the London's busiest tuition centres. Moreover, I see myself as devoted and dedicated person. I have been a hardworking person throughout and tends to complete the tasks trusted upon me.
I am an outgoing friendly person and mix with strangers quite well. Tutoring has taught me a lot of patience and have improved my listening skills. Talking and teaching a group of students boosts my confidence and help me tap my lingual skills.
I am working as Science Tutor at Prime Tuition in Brixton fro past 4 years and performing the following duties:
- Teaching groups of students GCSE & A-level Science.
- Lesson planning and effective delivery of content.
- Carry out assessment of progress.
- Encourage intellectual curiosity amongst students & make the lessons interactive.
- Provide feedback to students and parents.
Additionally I have worked as a teaching assistant at Queen Mary University and responsible for for following duties;
- Support students during Laboratory sessions.
- Marking & grading of assignments.
- Supervising group activities.
- Perform administrative tasks when required.
- Provide constructive feedback to students regarding their performance.
I am also support teacher at a Public school and helping Year 13 students with exam preparation. My targeted sessions and discussions on commonly examinable topics enhances my pupil's understanding and ability to cope with the exam questions.
My approach towards tutoring is quite straight forward. I try to solve the problems of students by thinking at their mental skill level. I mostly try to explain principals of Science using some simple daily life example. This expresses that the student is more involved in the explanation and will remember it for longer time.
For me tutoring is more than a job and mean of earning bread. Tutoring makes me passionate about my career approach and tends me to think more constructively. Helping students with their problems and making a positive contribution to their lives helps me feel better and more energetic.
