I am a postgraduate student studying for a doctorate in Educational Psychology and I have been a teacher for 13 years. During my teaching career I have taught all year groups in primary schools and I was also a teacher for deaf children.
I have experience of working with all children including children with special educational needs.
I worked in a primary school as a teacher (in various year groups) for 6 years before becoming a teacher for children who are deaf.
I teach using the methods best suited to the child. Sometimes this may include using visual methods to help the child access their learning or short bursts of teaching interspersed with activities to help children who have difficulties with their attention. My experience training to be an educational psychologist has developed my skills in honing teaching strategies to meet the needs of the child to help them to make good progress with their learning.
