I have come to live and breathe politics ever since the 2010 election, when at the age of 14 I began canvassing for a political party. My ambition is not only to get the very best grades for my students, but to foster them with a permanent love and excitement for politics that they can take all through their lives.
I am a politics teacher at an outstanding state secondary school in London. However, until 2019 i worked in n Parliament for an MP, giving firsthand experience of the political process In 2021 I started to teach the first ever year group of politics at my school. In 2022, of the 20 students, 90% received A*-B and 40% A*-A. In 2023 I am currently signing up to be an examiner for the Edexcel exam board. I have developed a range of excellent planning resources which is invaluable to all my students.
A combination of going through challenging essay plans, discussion of key ideas from the specification and marking of timed essays. I also enjoy settings reading of relevant news articles to the specification, which I then discuss at the start of sessions, in relation to an exam question.
