I currently study Economics at University College London at an undergraduate level. I take up numerous mathematics-based modules and therefore am very up to date with new methods. I read many non-fiction books based around my field of study in my free time and play sports such as football and basketball regularly. I am looking to tutor to not only help those who require it as this is what helped me get through my school years with outstanding grades but also because it will help me keep my mathematic ability at a high level.

Tutoring Experience

I tutored many of my peers in school through GCSEs and A-Levels. I tutored Economics and Maths - both further and regular. In my A-Levels, I achieved an A* in Maths and an A in Further Maths, Economics, and Physics.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is to first understand what type of learner the student is. Some students, like myself, perform better through raw formulas and processes on how to answer questions, and others like to understand the mechanics of why certain things work the way they do. After I know this I will tailor the tutoring to suit their needs. I also believe regular knowledge checks are key and are achieved through practice papers. With a paper, I will teach thoroughly any topics the student may have dropped marks on or could not answer at all and will answer any queries or concerns the student may have. I will also ask if there is anything in particular that the student wants to cover.
