I got a second hand double bass for my birthday which I couldn't get very far with on my own but I am really enjoying my double bass lessons with Samuel. He has helped me set up the instrument practically and we seem to get through a lot each time - but it's really clear and well explained. I am feeling more confident with each lesson. He also explains bits of music theory (which I could really get the relevance I was trying to learn another instrument as a child) and this is helping to learn the instrument more fully. He is a relaxed presence to learn from and I would recommend him as a tutor wholeheartedly!

Giulia has helped not just in improving my technique but has taught me much of the musical theory which I now realise is a vital part of learning to play the violin which I had been lacking whilst trying to teach myself. Giulia has helped in finding pieces suitable for my needs and in targeting the specific areas I need to work on whilst praising the areas I perform well in. I have left every lesson excited to practice and work on what we had covered in the lesson. A brilliant teacher!
