Personal Description:

I freshly arrived to Glasgow in 2018 after being graduated from the consevatoire "Pôle Sup'93" (France): Bachelor degree in instrumental performance in major violin and musicology. In addition, I obtained the "Violin Performance degree" (Diplôme d'Exécution de Violon) at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in 2015. I am currently improving my teaching practice by doing a Master in Education at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Med in Learning and Teaching Performing Arts).
Being passionate about self-expression, I regularly perform in collaboration with artists from different backgrounds: musicians (classical, Jazz, pop… ), actors, dancers, filmmakers… Indeed, I put team-works and creativity at the centre of my activity.
I participate to improvisation sessions (free or classical improvisation) and develop my artistic identity as a composer.
In parallel of my musical profession, I regularly improve my artistic skills by attending dance and drama class.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 5 years of teaching experience with children (from 6 years old) and adults (beginners to advanced). For two years, I taught the violin at the French school la "Compagnie Française de Créations Artistiques". My lessons are generally one to one. I also facilitate creativity by delivering music improvisation class (for children and adults) using drama techniques on group teaching. I prepare my students to exams (ABRSM), competition, auditions, performance on stage…

Tutoring Approach:

I propose to support my students in their specific learning journey. I adapt my teaching based on their needs and demands. I encourage my students to approach technical difficulties with benevolence. Music is a demanding activity which can bring a lot of joy when we learn with commitment (yes, yes, daily practice is strongly encouraged!) and pleasure.
Thus, communication is an important aspect of my teaching: I set an environment where my students can feel free to express their thoughts, feelings, or ideas. Creativity is also at the core of my pedagogy. we can work on pieces from the classical repertoire or on an arrangement of "Viva La Vida", and at the same time, supporting my students and helping them to develop their creativity and their ability to express themselves will be the most important.
