Congratulations to all our Scottish students

August 5th, 2014 by Gerry

140,000 Scottish students will be receiving their exam results over the next two days. Those that opted to receive them by email and text will already have received them, while those delivered by post will get them tomorrow.

It has been reported that there are a record numbers of higher passes with 77% of students achieving a C grade or higher.

The schools Minister Dr Alasdair Allan said "Congratulations to the thousands of young people who have worked so hard, their families who have supported them and the teachers who have worked tirelessly to prepare them".

Along side Dr Allan we also would like to offer our congratulations for such an excellent set of exam results at a time when there has been a significant period of change in the Scottish Education system.

Students are also receiving results for the new National 3, 4 and 5 exams which are replacing the Intermediate and Standard Grades. Despite these being new exams the pass rate is 93% for National 4 and 81% for National 5. We think you will agree that this is a great endorsement for the exams, students and teachers.

We wish all the 18,470 students all the best with their university applications and hope their exam results ensured they get onto their chosen University course.

If your tutor has helped you achieve your goal we would love to hear your experience.
