Personal Description:

Enthusiastic, experienced teacher and actress. I have been acting and teaching Speech and Drama, theatre studies, confidence building and Public Speaking for more than twenty five years. I am an active member of local amateur theatre companies, have worked at Yorkshire **Contact Detail Removed**vision and appeared as an extra in films!

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for over thirty years across the age range, mainly the 16 plus age group.
In 1992, I also established a drama school for 7-15 year olds with over thirty students and three tutors. I have taught many subjects but specialised in Speech and Drama, Life skills, Personal development and key skills.
My Certificate in Education is in English and Drama, my degree in the Arts followed by the London Guildhall School which offers extensive, detailed and rigorous teaching in every aspect of speech and drama. The three students I recently entered for the London Trinity examinations all gained distinctions; communications skills grades 1 and 5 and one in acting and speaking grade 5.One of the students is currently studying at a London drama school following help with her audition pieces.

Teaching Approach:

I love my subject and that comes across in my teaching.
I believe everyone should have the opportunity to explore vocal coaching as the voice is the instrument of communication - the basis of effective interaction.
Learning should be enjoyable and in a relaxed environment where the learner is comfortable experimenting and challenging themselves.
I have had some lovely comments from learners such as comments such as " I wish you had been my teacher at school" and "I love your sessions".
