Personal Description:

Progressive and disciplined with the ability to manage, integrate, design, and implement educational projects enhanced by the fine arts. I´m an expert in methods of self-learning, learning management, and goal-oriented projects.

Working as a teacher and camp counsellor has helped me to navigate diverse workplaces, and allowed me to understand and adapt to many different cultures and personalities. Being able to speak both spanish and english, and working in many different countries has widen my customer service skills and has made me a quick learner.
I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I’m flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I also have lots of ideas and enthusiasm. Currently I am studying an MA in painting at the Royal College of Art, learning and developing new skills from the best art school in the world.

Teaching Approach:

Generally art and painting requires self-motivation and individual study. From experience I know that especially for IGCSE and A-Level, children and young adults need a structure that they can work within and a process that they will eventually learn and adapt for themselves to be able to excel. Work needs to be done weekly with the tutor (myself) but also individually, spending at least 6 hours a week working on the drawings/paintings/sculptures to build a strong portfolio. I will be able to help by exploring the different art movements along with the students and the various important artists of our time to help understand the parameters that they were working within and also understand the role we play today as current living artists. I will also help with gathering ideas, assigning tasks, overlooking the process, perfecting the practical work and forming links and concepts. For students that are beginners, we will start working from the basics of drawing from life and then the formation of ideas and image making through different techniques.
