Personal Description:

I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education.
At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting.I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them.
As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout.

From Mary-Carmen (5/5): I have spent more than a year having one hour weekly remote tutoring from Eva. I was not a complete beginner but my path until then had been a mixture of going to classes and trying it on my own, and I was rather stuck. Eva was excellent at unstucking me. She systematically took me -gently- through what I thought I knew and what I definitely did not know. We covered all aspects of grammar and engaged in conversations about our interests and daily pursues, while trying to use as much of the vocabulary and grammar that I could remember.
Eva is not only a systematic teacher, but also very pleasant and an interesting person to talk to. I fully recommend her if you are trying to keep some order in your learning.

We thought we would get away with conversational Greek only but now appreciate the importance of understanding the structure of the language. So far, very pleased and challenged!
