Personal Description:

I have an MA in Novel Writing from Middlesex University (Distinction) which was preceded by The Open University creative writing course –(Distinction). I offer twenty eight years experience as a BBC trained story and script editor. I really enjoy working with writers, both new and seasoned. I live in East Sussex and offer online tutoring which includes a comprehensive written feedback of your work.

Teaching Experience:

Editing and teaching are from the same family - encouraging and nurturing the creative voice. I am probably going to be of use to a student who wants to study creative writing, or is an aspirating screen writer or novelist. With the latter I offer my academic expertise from The Open University and the MA, but re. screenwriting, I have worked on live scripts and can offer expert advice on structure and narrative.

Teaching Approach:

It's a privilege to read another writer's work. I will support you from synopsis to final draft and I can also read essays and give feedback. At the present time I only offer online tutoring but I will provide comprehensive notes via Word, followed by your tutorial via Skype or FaceTime, when we can go through the notes and your ideas.
