Personal Description:

I am a published writer of short fiction, non-fiction and poetry.
My short fiction, poetry and essays appeared in Southword, Fortnight, Snakeskin, Black Mountain Review, The Incubator Journal, and an Anthology of New Irish Writing published by Black Mountain Press. I have published three books of poetry with Lapwing Belfast.

My film scripts were supported by British Screen, Northern Ireland Screen and Media.
I directed and produced short films.
I won the Special Prize of the Motion Pictures Association of America and the Katapult Prize with my scripts. in 2019 I was quarter finalist at the Big Break Script writing competition of Final Draft in the US.
My poetry and stories were long and short listed with the following:
Shortlisted for the Bridport Prize for Poetry, and Strictly Writing Award
Longlisted for the Fish Poetry Prize, the Fish Short Story Prize, the Fish Memoir Prize, and the Kingston University Short Biography Prize, Oxford Brooke International Poetry Prize

Teaching Experience:

I have taught script writing at the Open Learning courses of Queens University, I was a tutor of OCA and I work for the Open University as an associa**Contact Detail Removed**cturer of creative writing.
