Personal Description:

I'm a 2021 graduate from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where I achieved a first class degree in acting. Alongside acting, I am a performing arts teacher, singer and writer, with a particular interest in comedy writing and character comedy.

I have a real love for radio and voiceover work also, and was shortlisted for the Mountview Carlton Hobbs team in 2021.

I am a professional actor working in the industry, and having graduated last year, I have a real world understanding of what is needed in the audition room, and how things are changing post-pandemic.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching a range of students, from younger pupils with a passion for extra curricular drama, to actors in the process of auditioning for drama schools. I have taught at stage schools Pauline Quirke Academy, Jigsaw Arts and Jam Theatre Company, helping a range of students develop their technical skills and find their creativity and playfulness.

Having been a drama student at various performing arts companies, and eventually an acting degree student at Mountview, I have trained in a huge range of acting techniques and approaches that allow me to give the best quality training to those I teach.

Teaching Approach:

I cater my teaching approach to each individual student, with a focus on creating an environment where actors can be bold, playful, and really explore the material they're working on. Having studied a number of acting techniques and practitioners, I can suggest very specific exercises to allow the student to find new choices and depths in areas they might be struggling.

I help with both contemporary and classical material, monologues and scenes and audition technique. I like to work collaboratively with students, as well as providing feedback that can be applied to other work outside of our sessions.

I'm really dedicated to helping actors auditioning for drama school develop their skills, and secure their place at their dream institution. Having auditioned for three years before getting into Mountview, I am very understanding of the challenges and obstacles actors face when trying to obtain a place at drama school. So many talented actors can be disheartened at the uncertainty and rejection faced during this audition process. However, developing confidence, creativity and trust in your instincts is just as important as talent. Understanding and developing each student's unique abilities and perspective is key to my practice.
