Information About Anja - Hove teacher

Personal Description:

I am a recent MA graduate in European Literature and have a great interest of aiding in the subjects of English Literature and Language.
I also have other qualifications in Maths, Philosophy, Geography, Classical Studies and Art.

Teaching Experience:

I have casually aided in General GCSE and A Level studies for family and friends for the last 6 years, with a mixture of abilities.
Since November 2010 I have been tutoring in English, Creative Writing and Maths in the Brighton area.

Teaching Approach:

I prefer personal teaching to be a much more beneficial method, and I concentrate not just on guiding and improving but also really trying to adapt to the student/tutees preferred method of understanding within sensible bounds.
I will always make sure we stick to a goal; I will also take as much time as I deem necessary to make sure we are not moving ahead just for the sake of progress.
I apply many techniques to my teaching depending on the subject and tutee; I use creative techniques, encourage projects, revise sections to ensure solid understanding and I will test on a regular basis if desired.
Furthermore, for certain ages, I set relevant homework and sometimes research projects.
I am flexible, relaxed and passionate about tutoring.
