Personal Description:
I am a former lawyer and I now write full time. My debut novel was recently awarded second prize in a publishing competition for as yet unpublished novelists, and my novel is currently being considered for publishing.
I have travelled widely and speak several languages, and I have a wide knowledge of and enthusiasm for literature, both English and international. I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Law (Bioethics) and I find that devoting half my study time to something so analytical and grounded in fact is in fact complementary to my writing, and in particular learning how to structure.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring students in History, English Literature and Languages for the past six years, following my success in novel writing, I am able to share the expertise that I have acquired with others.
Teaching Approach:
I am kind, understanding and enthusiastic. I set deadlines to encourage students to get writing and enjoy the creative flow. However, I am also extremely well read, and in creative writing it is important to be able to analyse literature, from novels to poems, in order to be able to structure work yourself.
