Information About Alex - Lydney teacher

Personal Description:

I started as an advertising designer when I was 19 but chose to study fine art at Camberwell in London in my late 20's. I graduated with a BA in fine art Painting in 1987.
I have been a professional painter, earning my income from selling paintings and teaching painting and life drawing for 20 years. Fo the last 2 years I have been holding a weekly life drawing class in my studio in Lydney for up to 12 students. I have also been giving occassional one to one tuition on painting technique and colour theory. I have just bought a house in france and will be offering 1 week painting holidays for up to 10 weeks a year from next summer.

Teaching Approach:

I believe that everyone has a talent for creativity, it is what makes us human. Sometimes we have been convinced or convince ourselves that we are not good at something. Breaking down these barriers can help you to progress leaps and bounds. I believe my students can achieve a lot, and encourange and push for achievement.
