Hello there. I'm Miss Pullen.
I'm an experienced Science teacher based in Liverpool.
Originally from the Midlands, some people can pick up a trace of an accent, but they are rarely able to pinpoint where it's from.
I like to laugh, I love animals, books and the beach: interests I share with my 2 nephews (10 and 14).
I taught Science for 12 years, having worked in financial institutions for 10 years before that, and am currently training to be a Therapeutic Radiographer at the University of Liverpool.
My degree subject is Biology, and so that's my specialism at GCSE and A level. However, I have taught all 3 sciences for the entire double / combined / trilogy science GCSE course and at key stage 3 and marked have GCSE scripts for both OCR and Edexcel, although I currently teach the AQA syllabus.
I have an enthusiastic and approachable attitude to teaching and tutoring, and actively enjoy helping others to learn.
Developing thinking and evaluation skills, and working on exam technique are important factors to success when so much of lesson time is devoted to course content and subject knowledge.
