Hello!

My name is Sil.

I am currently a Multisector pharmacist based in East Sussex NHS Trust.

I achieved First Class Honors in my Masters in Pharmacy by Cardiff University and a Distinction at my Postgraduate Certificate in General Pharmacy Practice. I have three years of hospital pharmacy experience and I am currently in a post that allows me to work between primary care (GP surgeries), hospital, community services and mental health hospitals.

I really enjoy helping students achieve their goals as I believe that a good tutor can have a positive life-changing impact on his tutees by providing the right tools for them to get in the career path of their choice.

My undergraduate course at university was very heavily based on biology and chemistry and thus I am highly competent in those areas of teaching. Being a healthcare professional working for the NHS has also given me the experience required in helping people apply for a university degree in healthcare topics such as medicine and pharmacy.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that to get the best results, the approach to each student needs to be individualised.

Everyone has different needs, goals and expectations so it's important to get to know someone so that I can tailor my sessions in a way that suits them.

Furthermore, knowing the interests of the student and what they want to pursue will enable me to tailor the tutoring sessions so that get the most out of them. Explaining concepts through practical examples not only provides a deeper understanding, but it will also help the student through interviews, especially if they are applying for a healthcare course such as medicine or pharmacy.
