I am a very experienced teacher who has taught in both the state and private sectors. I have also run my own tuition business for 18 years, teaching both adults and children regularly to Common Entrance at 11+ and 13+, GCSE and A level. I also teach adults who have a need or specific desire to learn because of work committments or because they visit a country often. I love teaching all languages and believe that being able to express your self well is a key skill in a multi lingual world.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a teacher for 30 years. I have taught in UK and abroad and have also taught a range of subjects in French, German and Swahili.

Tutoring Approach

All learning must be pupil centred and specific to the pupil's needs. I plan on a lesson by lesson basis with reference to the previous session- adaptability is key to building success. Every new pupil has a different set of abilities and needs and ensuring that self esteem is maintained is often an important part of the learning process.
