Prashant

I am a scientist with a passion for teaching. I have a PhD in engineering from University of Edinburgh. I deal with tricky mathematics and physics problems every day. and have advanced degrees in both. I graduated from Indian Institute of Technology , Kanpur in civil engineering.

Tutoring Experience

I have currently tutored > 25 students on various levels high school, GCSE, A-Levels, Univeristy, and as well Adult learners with first tutors platform.

I have as tutored undergraduate students during my PhD at the University of Edinburgh on their fluid mechanics courses(physics).

I have also working experience in India, where I worked for a non-governmental organization to tutor 10-year kids for Maths and physics for more than a year during my Undergraduate days.

Tutoring Approach

I love teaching. For me knowledge is wasted if one is not willing to spread it. My approach to teaching have been mostly based on understanding the student's attitude towards learning. For me learning and training are different things. I was fortunate enough to go through these two kinds of education, when I was in my high school, I was mostly trained to solve problems, I was not learning and appreciating science and nature of the problem. When I went to my undergraduate, I understood the differences. I give freedom to tutee to learn by himself and try to help him understand the problem rather than giving him tricks to solve it. My approach is more learning based.
