I have a range of fun, practical teaching methods and tactics at my fingertips, to
help them get to grips with literacy and maths skills. Children with special needs
are welcomed. I am experienced in working with children with A.D.H.D, those on the autistic spectrum, pupils dealing with dyslexia, and gifted high flyers too.

Tutoring Experience
As well as teaching mainstream pupils, I specialise in working with pupils on the AUTISTIC SPECTRUM and those with ADHD , whether or not they have a diagnosis. I have 25 + YEARS EXPERIENCE IN MAINSTREAM AND SPECIAL SCHOOLS, followed by working in a pupil referral unit, supply teaching, from pupils aged 2 onwards. I have also aught pupils with very challenging behaviours (who couldn't cope in pupil referral units) in libraries and their own homes. I have taught groups of students at Kip McGrath tuition venues. To present I have been teaching individuals after school and at weekends in their home. I can work in the day if your child is currently not in school, and also teach online.
Tutoring Approach
I use the interests of the child to help them reach their full potential. I use positive reinforcement and boost self esteem at all times. I always develop a great rapport with my pupils, whilst maintaining authority, which keeps them enjoying being on task throughout, and looking forward to the next session. I have infinite patience and a good sense of humour . I use practical methods and resources to help them progress in their learning.
I will come to your home to teach, so the child feels at ease in their own environment ( within a reasonable distance.)
