Hi, I'm Jenny, I'm a native English speaker but have also studied languages at school and University so am familiar with the challenges of learning a foreign language. I've worked in marketing for 20 years but recently decided to do a CELTA course with International House so I could begin to teach and do something more rewarding. I love languages and continue to study Italian (which i learnt at University) in my spare time. I am a very friendly, approachable person and during my course fostered very strong relationships with my students.

I have recently gained my CELTA qualification and have currently teaching one client but during my course I had substantial teaching practice.

Tutoring Approach

I believe teaching needs to be engaging and interesting and interactive. It shouldn't be a teacher to student interaction but a two way process which allows the student the freedom to work things out for themselves therefore retaining the information better. I use both coursebooks and authentic material depending on the needs of the student.
