My name is Hima Balachandran. I have an Mphil in Biological Anthropology University of Cambridge with merit scholarship from the Cambridge trust and a second award from my college
My under graduation degree is in Bachelors of Pharmacy ( Obtained First) and before moving to Cambridge I completed Masters in Drug development and Biobusiness from University of Aberdeen ( Obtained Distinction).

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive teaching experience across primary school to Masters level and have consistently improved the performance of my students.
I especially have experience in teaching all the biological/ life sciences subjects and chemistry at University level.
4 years teaching experience teaching experience in teaching students at GCSE and A level.
7 years teaching exerience in teaching undergraduates around the world
4 years teaching experience in teaching masters students in UK, France and India.
In addition I have helped my students with their thesis and applications to further degrees.

Tutoring Approach

I am a patient and friendly tutor and believe in building a good student-teacher rapport with my students but I also practice a firm approach when required.
As I have taught kids as young as 5 and mature students I can generate a good learning structure which would fit the student .
My classes are tailored specifically for individual students according to their level and needs to optimise the the understanding of the subject and expanding the knowledge.In addition to covering the basic principles I structure the lessons to get best results in exams with practice assignments and mock tests.
I usually teach individual students but can also teach a group of students ( it could in fact help in learning the subject in a more interactive way ).
I am flexible and can take in to consideration the method the tutee or the parents think would be most beneficial for the tutee.
