Mathematics and Science Specialist with 1st Class Hons and a Masters Degree from UCL. Over 10,000 hours tutoring experience I run a specialist Mathematics and Science tuition school Numberfit/Numberprep that caters to all ages for Maths and Science up to and including A Level Maths, Further Maths, MAT and STEP students as well as GCSE Science. Our students include the whole ability spectrum from Gifted and Talented Oxbridge candidates as well as home-schooled children and SEN students referred to us by the Buckinghamshire County Council. My in-house team includes Oxbridge Mathematicians and Scientists that consistently receive very strong feedback from my tutees. I also run award winning Maths based Social Enterprises Numberfit and Numberbundle that teach in schools and advise schools and LEAs on Maths teaching.

Tutoring Experience

Having over 10,000 hours experience over more than the last decade, I have extensive tuition experience and I am happy to provide references. I am proud to say that my students consistently reach their personal targets, all the way from A grades, to entry into prestigious UK universities (including Oxford and Cambridge) and some have been so inspired they have decided to take maths at degree level! I have also built up a vast amount of teaching resources for all levels and I cover every syllabus. Lastly, the tutors who work for me are highly qualified, undergo intensive training and have current CRB checks. I also run other Maths based companies and advise schools and LEAs on Maths teaching.

Tutoring Approach

Personally, I am a supportive and experienced mathematics tutor with excellent communication skills. I am familiar with the areas of mathematics generally found to be most complex and challenging, and able to communicate them in a concise and clearly understandable manner. Our team is keen to help prepare students for all levels from primary school up to GSCE, A-Level exams for Maths and Science. Whether its finding a creative method to boost the confidence of a Key Stage 1 child or preparing for A Level maths (or further), we can be of help. Every student is different and responds to different tuition styles, and we have the resources on hand to ensure all tutees leave their sessions motivated and confident. I have remarkable success in getting the best out of my students.
We provide an environment wherein the student is relaxed and confident. I see our tuition offering as part of an overall support structure with a parent and school. As such I have constant dialogue with parents to ensure we are on track. We also set work to be completed outside of sessions to reinforce what we have covered and to monitor progress.
As well as covering all of the theory required, we work on many practical examples and exam technique. We ensure competency and confidence before moving from one topic to the next. We tutor from our spacious offices with white boards and full tutoring facilities.
I also offer a mathematics programme that runs in schools making maths active, engaging and enjoyable whilst following the National Curriculum. Additionally, we sell a range of mathematics activity boxes for children to do at home with their parents.
