I am a fully qualified teacher of Mathematics and Physics with more than 30 years experience of teaching and giving private tuition. I am a graduate of Oxford University and have also studied at Bristol.
Working as an assistant examiner for one of the examining boards, I am fully aware of how marking schemes are applied and so am able to give tips in exam preparation.
I specialise in one-to-one tuition covering all areas of mathematics and physics including 11+, entrance exams for secondary schools , lower secondary, GCSE and AS/A2 Level. I have taught both A Level mathematics and A Level physics in a secondary school.
A married man, I have lived in Brentwood for more than twenty years and give tuition to students in Brentwood, Shenfield, Upminster, Hornchurch, Billericay as well as surrounding areas.
During this difficult pandemic period I am also teaching online with the use of Zoom.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught children of ages 10 - 18 years for more than 30 years and recently taught in a small private school. I have taught both mathematics and physics to A Level standard.
I specialise in one-to-one tuition and help many children improve their skills in mathematics and physics.
Most of my students over the years have received help in GCSE and AS/A2 Level mathematics/physics and I am familiar with the various syllabuses for the examining boards.

Tutoring Approach

Although each student will have different needs, my main focus is on boosting the confidence of the individual and thereby helping each to reach his or her full potential in the subject. The same is true whether the student is taking foundation maths to obtain that all-important grade C or AS/2 maths for entrance to Oxbridge. As their skill level improves through tailored one-to-one tuition, so does their enthusiasm for the subject.
