Ben

Ben has been tutoring both my children since October 2019.

For my 14 year old daughter each session revolves around the Maths work she is currently doing at school (GCSE). Ben reviews her homework requirements and tailors each session around it.

My daughter speaks positively about her interaction with Ben. Specifically, Ben is able to use many different ways to explain things that she doesn’t initially understand.

Since the tutoring has taken place my daughters Maths teacher at school has fed back that there has been a massive improvement in the quality of her work. This being predominantly down to the support from Ben.

For my 11 year old son, Ben’s initial support centred around logical reasoning puzzles to help him get used to sitting senior school admission tests.

The practice tests really helped my sons confidence whilst undertaking them for real.

Since then Ben is supporting him with preparation for his end of year SAT’s.

Both my children are set homework from him to aid with repetition and continuation with the topic.

In terms of our observations as parents we feel Ben’s approach is perfect. We feel Ben is very calm, encouraging, professional and experienced. The support received from him to date has been completely tailored to our requirements and as a result our children have massively benefited.

We would whole heartedly recommend Ben for additional tutoring!!!

Ben is always polite, professional and reliable. My son feels totally at ease with him. In only a few weeks Ben has given him the confidence he lost at school and is making good progress already. If Max does not understand something, Ben will find a way of making him understand by using a variety of techniques.
We look forward to Bens visits.
