I am 51 and have been playing the piano and flute for 41 years. I live in Wakefield and am able to offer home tuition in flute, piano, classical theory and pop theory all to grade 8 standard.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught many pupils for the last 20 years and taken some to grade 8 in piano, flute and theory and, in the process helped them to reach university.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is first that music should be enjoyable. Everyone learns in different ways and enjoys different styles of music. I feel that pupils should find music as exciting and accessible as I do whether that is via an exam route or just playing for fun.

I always try to make my pupils think about what they should do and why they should do it rather than just spoon feed them the answers as this will make them a better all round musician.
