I am an academic and professional with a Higher National Diploma in Business and Financial Management Level 5. (1.0), Qualified Accounting Technician (AAT) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountancy (CIMA) Studier. I have worked several years in Primary Education and Newly Qualified Teacher Training in the London Borough of Hackney, Learning Trust and also a distributor of children books. I have also conducted Read-a-thons and Book Fairs in schools during book weeks. English is my native tongue and I also have knowledge of basic Spanish.

Tutoring Experience

Since 2011 I have been hosting and privately tutoring international students in English language and grammar with an International College. Since 2017 I have been privately tutoring KS1/KS2 children in Maths and English. Conducting reading challenges in Primary Schools during Book weeks in order to promote good reading habits.

Since 2018 I have been teaching ESL to International adult students online via an online platform.

At present studying for a TEFL certificate - projected end date February 2022.

Tutoring Approach

I love to teach and my patient, calm and tailored approach achieves good results and enables me to form a bond with my students. My aim is to help children ages 5-11 years to excel academically, target good grades and help with homework. I encourage learning through discussion, practice tests, rewards and fun activities. For Adult learners, I aim to help with their conversations as well as written English. I can recommend learning materials or use the material that parents have acquired and feel comfortable with. I am available in the daytime for homeschooled children and also during the holidays.
