He is outstanding!!! I am an early intermediate student. His approach is to send me texts in English and I translate them to Italian. He then thoroughly corrects my translation. As a bonus, the texts are great short stories. Highly recommend.

I had two ad-hoc Italian classes with Carlo and will probably continue to have more when my schedule lightens up. I'm usually an advocate for in-person classes but the online ones did work well and are very handy! Carlo put in a lot of prep work and we had an abundance of materials to use in each class. He was great for honing in on correct pronunciation, confidence-inspiring, and accommodated my language-learning requests.

I had a great week of intensive-Italian classes with Denise. Apart from language (grammar etc.) itself, I learnt about Italian culture and we had some interesting conversations (in Italian). Denise accommodated my requests on topics about which to learn and I'd definitely do another week with her when next in Ireland; it's a great way to practise conversational Italian!

Excellent on grammar, particularity the most salient points that are in everyday use, without becoming bogged down in obscure grammatical points.
