Personal Description:
I am a post-primary modern foreign languages and history teacher, registered with the Teaching Council.
I hold a Master's degree in philosophy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Middlesex University London.
Tutoring Experience:
I recently completed Cpd training with Hibernia College on Inclusion of learners with Special Educational Needs and Promoting Social Communication skills. I also completed the programs It Takes Two to Talk® — The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Language Delays and More Than Words® — The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties.
My child attended an ASD preschool and currently attends an ASD class in a mainstream school, where I gained experience in IEPs.
Approach to Grinds:
I use a number of teaching approaches that address the needs of students with a variety of backgrounds, learning modalities, and abilities. These strategies contribute to an overall inclusive learning environment in which all students perceive to be valued and able to succeed.
