Phillip tutored my son for 2 years during his A Level course to support his learning because the level of teaching he was receiving was inadequate. Phillip is extremely knowledgeable and highly qualified and provided great support to my son, filling in gaps in his knowledge and building your confidence in the subject. Phillip was wonderful in helping my son identify the style of composition he wanted to create and translating his composition into notation. My son was awarded an A for his composition and was offered a place at his preferred university to study Music. I have no doubt he would not have been successful without Phillip’s teaching. Phillip was also great at keeping me informed on progress which meant I was confident that the A Level syllabus would be completed in time and that my son would be fully prepared for tackling the exam questions. Separately Phillip provided support to my daughter who has a learning difficulty and struggles to read music in the conventional way meaning that Phillip had to find an alternative way to teach her. I have known Phillip for more than 2 years and cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a very calm teacher, very empathetic and understanding and puts a lot of himself into his teaching.
