I am a teacher, music therapist and award winning composer from a background heavily involved in professional touring, theatrical and choreographic practices. I am a multi instrumentalist with over 25 years experience playing the trumpet, guitar and piano.

Tutoring Experience:
I have had over 15 years experience as a music teacher for people of all ages and abilities. From working with complete beginners to working with those who have been playing for years, my teaching style varies from a modern approaches to songwriting to focussing on more classical elements of a student's playing.
I gained my masters in Music Therapy from the word renowned Nordoff Robbins in Highgate. Here I studied a variety of approaches to music making with people from a variety of backgrounds, ranging in ability and skill. Much of my experience has been working children, older people, people with autism (ASD) and people with profound and multiple disabilities (PMLD).
Tutoring Approach:
A session may revolve around your preparation for an ABRSM exam, in which case I can provide clear and structured weekly practicing schedules. Alternatively, you may only wish to build upon your songwriting or learn how to play in a variety of styles. In these cases, I prefer to do away with the scales and focus more on the instrument and the ear. I pride myself on flexibility and a desire to cater to the needs of my students.
I teach from home and own a full professional recording set up. As much of my experience is in music production, I can provide high quality recordings for any student, regardless of instrument or ability. Extra fees may apply.
