Personal Description:
I have been performing since the age of 6 in Orchestras, Chamber Ensembles and as a soloist. I am currently playing in the Bromley Symphony Orchestra which I joined in 2013 and where I was quickly promoted to principal second violinist in 2014. I have been a member of the Bromley Symphony Players since 2015 where I have played as a soloist. I also play with various music ensembles and have guested for other orchestras and theatre companies. Furthermore a friend of mine and I give drama lessons added with music and movement to children aged 3 to 14.
Tutoring Experience:
I hold a degree in violin teaching and chamber music. I have 8 years experience of teaching violin and I have taught up to grade VIII. Whilst teaching in Hungary I gave one-on-one lessons to children aged 6 to 16 in a specialist music school and in the UK I have been teaching students of all age privately.
Tutoring Approach:
I give lessons, that combine violin practice, music theory and correct physical approach to playing. My goal is to teach my students to use the body correctly when playing the violin. I do this using Alexander technique, which teaches you approaches to playing the violin which reduce strain on the body and avoid injuries. This ensures your violin playing is more comfortable and therefore more enjoyable. I use Kodaly method which improves your understanding of music and your sight-reading skills. The Kodaly method is a well-established approach which combines music theory and practice to prove a rounded musical education. Music theory is taught in practical terms using the pieces being studied.

She gets on extremely well with my 13 years old daughter. She has been having lesson for several months now.
We found Monika as my daughter was thinking of quitting violin after 4 years.
Monika, with her amazing talent, passion for music and lively and warm personality changed things around for my daughter, who enjoys very much her every violin lesson now.
The lessons are well prepared, perfect balance of learning and fun. Monika helps my daughter to progress as an advanced player and challenges her with lots of patience and encouragement. Difficult theory bits explained very well, often with fun and memorable examples. Clear instructions are given for the homework practice.
Monika is also very helpful with advice about the violin, bow, rosin etc. and music books.
I can’t recommend her highly enough; Monika is a lovely person and a fantastic teacher!
My daughter is always excited for the class and enjoys her lessons very much. She is very knowledgeable and most of all very patient.
Overall would recommend her to anyone!
We were incredibly lucky to come accross her, especially after spending quite a lot on a violin club which was, really, a bit of a joke. The difference is incredible: my child absorbs the 1 hour tuition with pleasure and the quality of teaching is simply amazing. I know she is progressing and learning the subject properly, something that will stay with her for the rest of her life. If you want a real music teacher I highly recommend Monika. You will be impressed too, and your children will love her.
It's really challenging and yet so rewarding.
I have so much fun that i think I'll be a student for a longtime !
