Personal Description:
I am a Ministery of Education trained Teacher,Music and Maths,Got married and.I then taught Piano from home which i have done for over 50 years.I teach grade 1-3 on a upright Piano.Higher grades on my Grand Piano. I have a great personal interest in Piano and Music Competitions,and encourage my able pupils to enter them, and it is amazing how it creates confidence in them selves.I knew at the age of 11 that i wanted to teach Piano. Awards Scheme for Festival Volintary Helpers 50 years Volintary Service Award.
Tutoring Experience:
I have a LRAM and ARCM diploma and am a ISM member. I teach Piano to grade 8 and above. I teach theory up to grade 6.
Tutoring Approach:
I discourage beginners looking down at their hands while they play.Playing from memory does not make one good at sight reading
