Personal Description:

With over 10 years experience teaching expats Chinese Mandarin in China, I relocated to Winchester 5 years ago. Teaching Chinese has always be my passion and my students can definitely tell that. Not every person from China can teach Chinese as a language. Qualified teachers can tell you much more about Chinese than just the language using different activities and methods.

Teaching Experience:

With students from different countries(such as UK, US, Denmark, Australia, Germany, France and Japan) and different backgrounds (businessman, engineer, housewives, CEOs and actors) I was exposed to all different cultures and different learning styles and different learning paces. The key is to keep the class active and interesting and suit everybody's needs. It was challenging but fun. My students loved me and I had really good reviews from them.

Teaching Approach:

With the effect from the pandemic, I adjusted my teaching a lot, from flash cards, real objects to quizlet, powerpoint, online games and zoom meetings. There will be drills that gave chance to practise the new words and sentences. I keep the drills and the practises as close to life as possible so that could use it in real life situations.
