Personal Description:

Born in Limoges in the centre of France, I studied History at the University of Toulouse, specialising in British Social History, as well as Social Policy at the University of Strathclyde.

Since moving to Scotland in 2017, I have worked in different communications sectors, requiring often the use of both languages interchangeably.

I am therefore entirely fluent in French, my native language, and English (especially English with a Scottish accent!)

Teaching Experience:

Through varied teaching experiences with publics across all age groups in France and the UK, I have developed and refined valuable tutoring skills.

Starting from teacher training in secondary education and a Teaching Assistant position in Toulouse, France, I became an Education Officer as part of Toulouse City Council's cultural education programme for children.

I kept this taste for education as I changed countries and, even in lines of work outside of the education sector, I find the greatest enjoyment when assisting and training new colleagues.

I also have a passion for sharing my own (Southern) French culture, in particular food culture, with my friends in the UK and beyond.

Teaching Approach:

With the patience and the methodology gained through experience, I believe in a relaxed, friendly and modular approach to tuition. I never let anyone feel they can’t achieve what I know they can.

From learning English as a second language, I am certain that the best way to learn is through chat, building up your ability to get your points across in a different language and understanding the WHY and WHEN to use words through practice.
Being French means I know conversational and the formal interchangeably, and occasionally the shortcuts!

Language is a medium of culture! I will share aspects of my home culture with you, whether this involves recipes, books, film and TV series, or telling you about fun French cultural practices. I hope you will do the same and share your culture with me (in French!)

Whether you’re a beginner or someone who wants to refine their advanced linguistic skills, I can help you achieve your language goals.
