Personal Description:

Born in Istanbul and grew up in Brussels.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Modern Languages & Literature in 2013, after which I completed a master's program in teaching, in order to transfer my knowledge and enthusiasm on languages. I completed my master's studies in 2019 and moved to Aberdeen, Scotland, to start a new adventure in an English-speaking country. Currently living in Edinburgh, I am working as an online tutor, teaching English, French and Turkish.

I am a believer of lifelong learning and therefore am willing to teach anyone of any age, ready to explore a new language.

My standout qualities are patience, flexibility, understanding and dedication and confidence in my teaching skills.

Teaching Experience:

I started tutoring in 2014 for primary school students, where I would help them in various subjects and work on their learning strategies. I have worked as a language tutor since 2016 in classrooms and for priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons working for language schools, teaching French, English and Turkish to students of all ages, from different backgrounds, adapting to their expectations from the course and their needs, in order to improve their language skills.

I completed 70 hours of teaching in classroom in secondary-schools, working with groups of 10 to 25 students, formulating lesson plans based on the curriculum, adapting to the students' interests, in order to keep them motivated and evaluating their needs to provide them with learning methodologies.

Teaching Approach:

I believe learners are at their best when they are in a comfortable environment, where they can be relaxed and focus solely on the work.

I highly support positive reinforcement in teaching, as I have seen from my experiences that it facilitates learning.

I have a student-centred approach, therefore I adapt my classes according to my learners' expectations and needs from learning or improving the target language.
