Information About Melanie - Grantham teacher

Personal Description:

I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years' experience.
I am a member of The Tutors' Association (TTA).
I teach French (as a foreign language) to A-Level and beyond. I have a French Degree and a PGCE teaching qualification and have lived in France.
I teach English (as a foreign language) to A-Level and beyond. I am a native speaker of English and have the CELTA qualification.
I tutor both in-person and online.

Teaching Experience:

I am a Qualified Teacher of French and English (as foreign languages). I qualified in 2000 and have been in continuous service ever since. I currently teach Modern Foreign Languages in a local school on a part-time basis as well as providing private tuition. I have Examiner experience of AQA GCSE French but have taught to the EDEXCEL specification too. I am experienced in teaching the whole age range (nursery to adult) and worked with La Jolie Ronde for 2 years. I am enhanced DBS cleared.

Teaching Approach:

My students describe me as patient and understanding of the mistakes they make. I like to keep learning fun as this is the best way to learn and retain what you have learnt. I invite my students to feedback to me continuously about what is working / not working for them, so that I am constantly tweaking the learning to best suit the needs of the the student.
