Personal Description:

Personal background:
I am a native Albanian speaker, born and grown up in Albania. I have extended knowledge about the culture, history, geography and economy of the country.
In Albania I went through every stage of education and graduated from university after successfully completing my teaching training.
For 28 years I taught students at different ages in primary, and secondary schools and colleges.
I moved to the UK 23 years ago where I had to learn English from scratch. Being in my forties and in full time employment didn`t stop me from pursuing further studies at university and in 2006 I graduated at Sheffield Hallam University.
My employment in Albania and in the UK has always involved working with children, young people and families in the capacity of teaching, leadership and adviser.
I am a mother of two grown up children.

Professional background:
Professionally I am a highly qualified teacher graduated from university in Albania and have taught at different levels for 45 years, 28 years in Albania and the rest as a private tutor in the UK. Teaching comes natural to me. When talking about me people in Albania used to say: "she was born a teacher".
During my employment here in the UK I have worked for local authorities in children, young people and family services and in the last 12 years, I have been delivering parenting courses.
During my long teaching career, I have gained a wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise which would benefit my students.

Teaching Approach:

My teaching methods are different to suit the age and the level of each student. I am aware of different learning styles and use different learning resources to help each learner. My communication with students is excellent. I believe no matter the age, people can learn a new language if they want to. I have a sense of humour and make students feel good about themselves.
I encourage students to talk without hesitating because of mistakes they may make. My advice to students is not to worry about mistakes; they are part of the learning process. Just go for it, and I am here to help you learn.
