Information About Katie - Keswick teacher

Personal Description:

Hello! I am Katie, and I am a qualified TEFL teacher with a background in Outdoor Learning. I am happiest anywhere I can escape to the mountains, and have lived in Scotland, Chamonix, and am currently based in the Lake District. I have just graduated from University, and am excited to pursue my career in education.

Teaching Experience:

I have been working online as a freelance tutor since early 2020, helping students with English language and literature. Furthermore, I am a qualified sailing instructor, and have worked extensively with groups of adults and children from all backgrounds! I have also worked closely with people with additional support needs.

In completing my degree, I chose to specialise in pedagogical theory, and as such have a thorough understanding of unique learning needs and approaches. This is the ideal background to draw upon to get the most out of each of my students.

Teaching Approach:

I take pride in ensuring that all my lessons are fun and engaging! I believe in adapting learning to the needs of the student, so whether you learn by jumping around, by singing, by writing poems or by repetition, I'll design tasks to help you thrive.
