Personal Description:
Hi there! I am from Pakistan. I am a very patient and calm person. Due to being a native speaker, I have full command of the Urdu language and know all the dialects with correct pronunciation for effective and better communication.
I clearly understand how difficult it is to understand and pronounce Urdu/Punjabi correctly for a UK native person. I can guide or help you to learn this language with some interesting tips and tricks. You will find my classes are so relaxed and systematic. With a few techniques, I try to make the session super simple for you so that you can quickly grab and digest things with full of confidence.
Moreover, it's a great opportunity to learn the Urdu language and connect your roots from back home. Mainly focuses on speaking power so you can speak with your relatives, especially with grandparents, who loved to talk in their native language.
Teaching Experience:
I have good teaching experience with kids and adults from beginner level to advanced level. Online teaching is a unique learning way as well.
I used different resources and methods (including whiteboard, pictures, flashcards etc) to teach my students and understand their level.
With an outstanding academic background and my vast experience in private tutoring, I strongly believe that I will make a positive contribution to your learning progress and tries to simplify things until you get it.
I`m very particular about correct pronunciation and grammar too, for this reason, I tried to teach Urdu pronunciation with phonics so that students can pronounce words like natives more confidently and quickly.
Teaching Approach:
I aim to reach the student`s comfort level first and then teach according to their level of understanding with customised prepared lessons. I preferred to approach with the best level of interest systematically.
Due to my friendly nature and fun engaged teaching methodology, I got good feedback from my students even after a few starting lessons. I preferred to engage the students with different teaching methods.

As an adult learner, she has been brilliant in using urdu in the lessons as much as possible, whilst also switiching into english when needed. She is also very patient and happy to explain things multiple times till you are no longer making the mistakes. She is great at simplifying the foundations of the language (grammar, pronunciation & word selection) to a level that you can easily understand it and utilise for the future from the get go. She also gives good advice, gives you resources (e.g. a word bank) and points you to resources to help maintain and improve your level between lessons.

From Saara (/5): I really enjoyed learning with Iram. The lessons were extremely helpful and I found myself recognising Urdu words faster than I imagined. Lessons were structured in an organised manner and Iram is very friendly and patient which is very reassuring and helps with confidence. Overall a great service however it would be useful for students to have a task to take away from each session to consolidate their knowledge e.g. work sheets or activities.
