Personal Description:

My name is Gozde **Removed By Admin** and I am a native Turkish speaker. I completed my MA degree in International Relations at University of Sussex. I am currently working within East Sussex County Council. I have a variety of interests such as languages, current affairs and history. I consider myself as a friendly, understanding and highly motivated person. I believe that I also have the ability to explain and listen very well.

Teaching Experience:

I have a previous experience to teach Turkish as a foreign language to English people who have a desire to live in Turkey. I also had been giving Turkish lessons to American instructors at one of prestigious universities in Turkey for a year. I believe that this experience gave me a better understanding of how to teach a language.

Teaching Approach:

My first approach to teaching is organising myself for every lesson. I would always like to make sure that I am prepared for the lesson, that I understand the aims and objectives of the session and to make a lesson plan. Secondly, I ascertain that my students are comfortable and ready to start learning and I always ensure what the students want to learn in each session. I often use visual aids in order to achieve an effective teaching. I also believe that participation to lesson is highly essential in order for learning to take place. Therefore, I always make sure that my students engaging in mental or physical activity that will help the students to understand and retain the information presented effectively. And finally, I found that practice and repetition is fundamental matter in teaching. Rarely is anything new learned effectively with only one exposure. Therefore, I believe that provision should be made for frequent practice and repetition, often in different contexts, for long-term retention to be encouraged.
