Information About Gary - Cardiff teacher

Personal Description:

Hi,

I'm Gary. I'm a Writer and English Teacher, and I'm currently based in Cardiff.

As a Writer I have an excellent grasp of English in all its uses, as well as a 120-hour TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate. I also have a BA in Journalism from Middlesex University.

I recently trained in Madrid with Vaughan Systems, learning to use an intensive and fast-paced teaching technique. I have around 20 hours classroom teaching experience, and have spent several months as a teaching assistant.

I have a keen interest in history, and enjoy travelling and visiting new places. I'm also a keen musician, and play guitar and piano as well as writing songs. I also enjoy writing scripts and screenplays, and have written everything from cartoon shows to short science fiction films.

I'm patient and positive, and very much enjoy helping and supporting others.

Teaching Experience:

I'm a qualified TEFL teacher with around 20 hours classroom teaching experience. I currently teach and assist in English classes for asylum seekers and refugees.

Teaching Approach:

Patient, positive and supportive. I aim for students to be relaxed and comfortable, and to enjoy the tuition experience. I like to encourage students to think and work things out for themselves, as I believe this is the most rewarding way to learn.
