Personal Description:
I am fun and playful during my classes, making my students feel relaxed and at ease to share and practice the language they have learnt. I enjoy graphic design and I am madly visual, which inspires me to create teaching resources with images, videos and everything my students need to actually be able to use Portuguese as it is used in real life.
My thesis in university was based on Different Methods and Approaches in Language Learning and Teaching. For this reason, I use my authentic visual communicative resources to guide people in achieving their language goals, always considering what needs to be updated to their needs.
I am a bit of peacock when it refers to the resources I create for my Portuguese lessons. I have to say, I am quite proud of the work I do and of how much my students say they enjoy it. My students and I run sporadic direct and indirect course review and feedback to guarantee they are in the right path, with the right approach, advancing and enjoying the lessons.

Teaching Experience:
I am a Certified Brazilian Portuguese teacher from Sao Paulo teaching for over 18 years. I have a Bachelor Degree in Teaching Portuguese and English from Universidade Metodista de Sāo Paulo, a Teaching Knowledge Test Certificate by the University of Cambridge and a DBS Check.
I have been teaching for over 18 years and I have worked with students all ages, from China, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Panama, among others. I teach Brazilian Portuguese on-line. I am fluent in English and have a very good understanding of the Spanish language, so I can help if you get confused with both languages during communication.

The content is interesting and presented in an interactive way that keeps the student engaged with the lesson.
While I am still at the beginner level, so far the material has followed a logical roadmap of progression, with a new concept being introduced, expanded upon to solidify understanding before introducing the next topic. Additional learning resources and exercises are also available **E-mail Address Removed**classroom in addition to the standard course material that is taught.
Finally there is also the opportunity to engage with other students studying with Edna as well. This is totally optional but it gives people who want to engage with the other students the opportunity to work on their Portuguese by using it in actual conversation.
Overall I would highly recommend Edna. My feedback is from the perspective of someone just starting to learn as an absolute beginner and Edna has been a great tutor in helping me develop my knowledge of Portuguese.
