Personal Description:

I am warm, enthusiastic, sensitive, organised and relaxed, with a good sense of humour. I work hard to motivate and help my students reach their full potential. I am judged " outstanding " in the classroom. Throughout my career, I have been proud of the achievements of my own students and many have gone on to use Languages in their work; and study Languages in Higher Education (including at Oxbridge and Russel Group Universities). I have many lovely comments from pupils who have been appreciative of lessons.

Teaching Experience:

I have 27 years' Modern Languages Teaching experience; I am currently teaching French and Spanish at an 11-16 school in Trafford;and have 20 years of experience in Middle Leadership as Head of Modern Languages Faculty, Head of Year, Mentor,Coach, and AQA GCSE examiner.
Results achieved have been consistently above national averages and at KS3 the vast majority of my students achieve target grades. I have experience with working with many specifications and exam boards: AQA, EDEXCEL, EDUQAS at GCSE and A Level; and my examining role for the GCSE Spanish writing component added invaluable insight into exam requirements.

Teaching Approach:

During my career I have been keen to plan worthwhile learning experiences my pupils and I bring a sound understanding of the needs of all my students and a wealth of Teaching and Learning experience.You will find me warm, receptive, thorough, understanding and, hopefully, inspiring!!! I have many resources at my disposal and will tailor-make lessons to meet individual requirements covering all skill areas. An initial lesson / chat would establish students' particular requirements or requests, and their preferred teaching style. From there, teaching should follow students' personalised and flexible learning plan.
