Personal Description:

My background is in Art & Design having worked as a stylist/designer for two stitching magazines for many years.Living in South East Kent I was involved with a number of local organisations teaching various age and mixed ability groups visual arts & crafts. I moved to Devon and resumed both my own practice and teaching. I have now returned to Kent and teach local groups as well as continuing my own art practice and sell both in the UK and internationally. My work has appeared in both High street shops and various publications.

Teaching Approach:

I have always emphasised with all those I have taught over the years that art is not about what you produce but the journey you take and the experience you gain along that journey. As a tutor I am there to guide educate and facilitate along the way. Encouragement is key to initiating different approaches and outcomes. An elderly experienced student once said to me 'it's only a bit of paper" i.e experience the moment and move on there is plenty more to discover art in inexhaustible. My approach is with enthusiasm and passion which I have been told comes across in my lessons.
