Personal Description:

Sophie is a professional actor and writer as well as an experienced tutor. She has an MA in Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is a published writer of short stories, poetry and articles as well as a produced screenwriter and playwright.
She continues to work professionally as an actor, writer, filmmaker and charitable activist alongside her tutoring.

Teaching Experience:

Since 2019, Sophie has worked one-on-one with students in Acting and Creative writing, from primary school age up to adults. She has prepared students for LAMDA exams, Drama GCSE and audition preparation, with very successful results.

My students have received top grades (7-9) in Drama GCSE and LAMDA exams, and had successful drama school auditions.

Teaching Approach:

Sophie works with a combination of technique and play to bring out the best in each individual student. She is friendly and passionate about making students feel confident in their abilities and enthusiastic about their subjects. She has an infectious energy and passion for what she teaches, making everything fun and accessible. She creates a safe environment for students to ask questions, try new things and be fully themselves. She believes in the powers of art like acting and writing and that's why she is so passionate about teaching them and passing on her experience and love for these mediums.
