Personal Description:

I worked as a professional photographer in the social, commercial and editorial sectors of the photographic industry for over thirty years. I now concentrate on producing stock photography for a major picture library

Teaching Experience:

I qualified as an adult education tutor around fifteen years ago and, in the past, have run courses for beginner and intermediate photographers and IT learners for Norfolk County Council and Reepham learning Community. I also currently work as a trainer in a different industry.

Teaching Approach:

People take photographs for a wide variety of reasons; it can be to record a family event, to sell or enter competitions or just for the fun of it. When teaching my first task is to find out what you know, what you want to know and where you want to progress to. Lessons are then geared to these aims - whether it is a single lesson to introduce you to a new camera or a series of lessons to work up to a high standard. Lessons can take place at home using your own camera and/or editing software or I can offer practical lessons where you will be out taking photographs. Lessons are backed up by handouts and e mail support.
