Personal Description:
I am a New Zealand born actor who moved to the UK in 2014 to complete a Master of Arts at Guildford School of Acting and has called the UK home ever since.
I've starred in indie feature films (Zoe; Misplaced, Our Little Haven, Accession Chronicles) and was in my first TV series when I was just 16 (but no chance you’re getting the name of that one)! I also write and direct my own short films that have nabbed a few accolades along the way.
On stage, I've worked in venues all over the world - from the Sydney Opera House in "Nightbook" to a main stage at the Edinburgh Fringe with "The Factory - a new musical". From the Dubai Opera House to Beijing as Bob Crewe in the international tour of "Jersey Boys" and then back to Sydney in a replica of Shakespeare’s Globe to play in "Comedy of Errors" and "Macbeth".
Most recently, I have added Cirencester to his list, performing as the titular character in "Daddy Long Legs" for The Barn Theatre and then returning to play five characters in a new adaptation of "The Importance of Being Earnest" (later transferring to London).
Teaching Experience:
Since graduating from drama school in 2012, I have taught acting at many prestigious schools including; Australia's leading drama school - NIDA (Sydney), the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School (London) (current), one of the UK's top drama schools - Guildford School of Acting (University of Surrey, UK), Emil Dale Academy (London) and CCMT (Auckland). I specialise in teaching script analysis, auditioning, screen performance and acting through song - but can comfortably cover all manner of material and concerns for the new/developing actor.
Teaching Approach:
My passion for teaching matches my passion for performance, directing and writing and I love to give back what I've learned to the next generation.
I'm able to adapt to each individual students needs - be they an audition they are preparing for (drama school, tv show casting etc) or ongoing development to further my students creative practices.
I don't teach from a set syllabus, but rather designs my learning objectives around my students needs. I have been regularly employed in this capacity by some of the UK's leading drama schools and secondary performing arts colleges.
